ARTICLE VII. HONORARIA
A. The Treasurer shall receive an annual honorarium, payable out of the funds of the Federation.
B. The Editor shall receive an annual honorarium, which shall be considered as part of the operating expenses of the MLJ and deducted before the declaration of the surplus for any given year.
C. All honoraria shall be determined by the Executive Committee; the amounts thereof shall be fixed for the term of office and shall be subject to regular review.
ARTICLE VIII. COMMITTEES
A. Board of Directors may from time to time authorize standing or special committees. Such committees shall consist of at least two members, who shall normally be appointed by the President, except as otherwise provided in Sections B and C of this Article.
B. There shall be a Nominating Committee, which shall consist of a member of the Board of Directors elected at the annual meeting to serve as Chair during the following two years, and two members of the Board of Directors or past Presidents of the Federation who are willing to serve. C. The Executive Committee shall serve as an Investments Committee for the Treasurer. The duties of this Committee shall be as stipulated in Article V, Section H, hereof.
D. The expensesof such committees shall be paid by the Treasurer as authorized by the Board of Directors, which shall allot a fixed sum as the budget of each committee. No committee shall incur obligations in excess of the amount voted for it, except for an emergency in which the President and Treasurer may authorize a supplementary allotment.
